BustaBlog was temporarily out of service yesterday:
We had major problems with 1and1 and had to not only change services but we also took the time to upgrade the service, making it faster, with 100% uptime guarantee from our new host.

We hope this solves any problems that might have occured in the past.

You might have noticed a few changes going on over here at Bust A Blog.  We are constantly working towards adding new features.  Lately, we’ve added several small features, including:

1) A Post Ticker which displays how many blog articles/posts are currently active within the system.

2) An Enhanced font-page news filter to limit SPAM and increase topic diversity.

3) Also a Recently Discussed article is featured at the top of the news index (which is determined quantitatively from a proprietary algorithm Nick and I have deduced from acyclic gravity distortion of black matter from the elliptical patterns of only the 16 native moons of jupiter :p).

This should be the 10,000th post or so, making this site official a fast growing website, since we’ve only officially launched just about a month and a half ago, we’re happy we have so many great bloggers already, and look forward to many more…

A search feature has been added to BustaBlog thanks to Derek who programmed the feature.  Now you can search through all the blogs to find the topic of your choice.  Some popular topics are Obama and McCain.  Use the search to see just what people are saying about these two candidates!

Everyone who writes a blog will have all their posts indexed in the search feature.  That means even your oldest posts can be found through the search feature.

We like to make things here at BustaBlog simple.  Onlywire Auto Sumitter auto submits all your posts to bookmarking services so you get extra links to your post without doing any work.

We wish more stuff could be auto, like making breakfast.  Oh well until then we’ve got our post being auto submitted to Onlywire

Our head programming honcho Derek spent hours under candlelight in front of his widescreen monitor making this new design.  Sure there were a few head slams against the desk, and a few computers that are now laying out in our front lawn, but finally it’s up and running.

You’ll notice a complete rework of the site colors, logo, and even some of the pages load a bit better right inside the template rather than somewhere else.

We’ve finally reached our 1000th blog here on BustaBlog!  We’d like to think everyone who has blogged with us!  We’ve only been around one month, but we are celebrating already… Here’s to the next 1000!

It’s a beautiful weekend and we’ve added a few themes if you’ve been longing for something new in your life. I seem to change the theme for this blog about every week as we keep updating.

Did you know you can submit a new theme? Just write us a request and we’ll install it if we don’t already have it installed… Where are some places to look? We usually do a search for free wordpress themes. I’ve come up with over 200 unique themes for BustaBlog simply by searching online…

There are plenty of factors and reasons why a blog won’t earn money online.  Of course we need to keep in mind not everyone cares about the ability to earn money online.  They make webpages for fun and leave it at that.  But, I think everyone deserves something for their work.  Work should be fun, but you deserve to earn money for your work too…

1. Poor Ad Placement = Earn Less Money Online

The biggest factor I’ve noticed is the ad placement of google advertisements.  Sometimes I have to actually look to find them.  If you have one ad at the bottom of your page or just an ad on your sidebar, almost no one is going to click them!

Try placing your advertising on the top left of posts.  More users are likely to see these ads, and thus click them.

2. No traffic = No money?

So many blogs out there do not social submit their websites that no one ever ends up finding their websites.  Use Propeller, Digg, Reddit, and spread the news.  This will give you additional backlinks and of course… traffic! See that little green share this button on most blogs?  Click it.

Or try using socialposter.com and use this tool to submit your new article to tons of social networks.

3. No Site SEO = Earn Less Money Online?

How many no traffic sites, don’t use some of the SEO golden rules?  So many people wrote titles to their post that have nothing to do with the content of their post?  If you remember back to grade school, the title of your paper should be a good overall sumary of what is contained within the article.  Hey Guys! Is a terrible way to title a post.  How about, how to have a great Saturday?

Try using your title words throughout your post over and over.

Due to a malfunction with our site, some code didn’t like us, the site was messed up for an hour or two.  We aren’t sure how long because a friend pointed it out to us.  A guy who loves his samples and a writer at sampleaday.com.

Now that BustaBlog is again fully functional we are off to see the Dark Knight.
